Description

New and modern marina at Veddelev Strand Bådelaug, approx. 2 nm north of Denmark's former capital Roskilde.

Navigation

The harbor can be approached day and night. From the northwest, you steer from the lighted red fairway buoy (Fl.R.5s)  at approx. 135° directly to the harbor entrance (F.R and F.G).

Berths

The harbor is heavily occupied by local yachts. Guests must make arrangements with the harbour master. The water depth is approx. 3 m.

Anchoring:
Very good anchorages can be found to the west of the harbour in Kattinge Vig at a water depth of 2.5 - 3 m.

The mooring approx. 0.5 nm south-east of the harbour at a depth of 1.5 m is only recommended for short-term mooring due to its unprotected location.

Surroundings

In addition to good sanitary facilities and the usual service, the well-kept marina also offers repair facilities. Food is available approx. 1 km away. There is a half-hourly bus connection to Roskilde, where there are other good supply options. The jetty 0.5 nm south of the harbor is only suitable for short-term mooring due to its sometimes unprotected location.

NV Land Guide

If you've already come this close to Roskilde, you can safely drive past Veddelev. All that awaits you here anyway is a spacious, modern marina typical of Danish suburbs. Beautiful villas and new buildings inland make it clear that the wealthier citizens of Roskil have settled here. South of the harbour is a campsite with a bathing area.

"Hyggelig" (cozy) is only found in the east of Veddelev, in the old village, where there are small thatched cottages with beautiful front gardens (1.3 km away). However, there are no grocery stores or cafés.
