The approach is unproblematic day and night. It leads via a buoyed and lighted 7 m deep channel into the marina to the north. A buoyed and lighted side channel branches off to the southern harbour at the last pair of buoys.

Berths

In the northern marina, guest berths can be found at a water depth of approx. 2 - 4m. The southern marina tends to sand up and is heavily occupied by local yachts, so it can only be recommended to a limited extent for guests. Both marinas are managed by the same harbour master.

All supply options are available. Fuel and 20t crane are available in the southern marina; there is also a free bicycle rental service.

In the 50s and 60s, Kolding obviously had a hard time preserving historical buildings. One of the few sights from earlier times is the royal castle (Koldinghus), which stands on a 20-meter-high hill in the middle of the town. Built in 1248 by King Abel, it remained a popular royal residence for many centuries, but burned down due to the carelessness of Spanish mercenaries. The story goes that the Spaniards staying in the castle were actually just trying to warm themselves up when they made their stay in the cold north a little more pleasant with a campfire in 1808.

Many parts of the castle have since been rebuilt and some of the restored halls shine in their original splendor. They now serve as museum rooms where porcelain, stoneware and church art are on display. An exhibition on the Schleswig wars and reunification takes up a lot of space.

Kolding is now one of the largest cities in Jutland with 55,000 inhabitants. The city on the fjord of the same name has remained a prominent trading center since Viking times and has also grown into an industrial town with a high recreational value, according to the city fathers. Its role as a border town from 1864 to 1920 contributed to the prosperity of its citizens. The town is still known today for its artfully crafted silver jewelry. The displays in the boutiques show that this craft is still practiced today.

The botanical garden on the southern edge of the city is definitely worth a visit. With twelve hectares of parkland, thousands of plant species from all over the world, 600 m² of greenhouses, a large rose garden and much more, the area on Christian IV. Vej is one of the largest botanical gardens in Northern Europe. It is also home to the largest bamboo grove in Europe. You can get inspiration for your own garden in the Ideas Garden, where herbs also grow.

The Borchs Gård house, built in 1595 as a pharmacy, is well worth seeing. The building in Torvegade is notable for its richly decorated half-timbered gable.

St. Nicolai Church on Nicolaiplads is a Gothic building with remarkable glass mosaics in the choir windows.

Fans of jazz music should head to Kridthuset at Munkegade 10. This small, cosy jazz venue is also known as a meeting place for fans of folk and gospel music.

Trapholt, the Museum of Danish Arts and Crafts, has been located in the naturally beautiful Trapholt on the north side of the Koldingfjord since 1988.

Ten kilometers south-east of the city lies Skamlingsbanken, an old national gathering place for Danes, 113 meters above sea level and therefore also a beautiful vantage point.

Grosse Anlage mit Kartensystem, Restaurant und netter maritimer Shop direkt am Hafen. Supermärkte, Netto und Rema 1000 in der Nähe. Schöner Weg in die Stadt, gute Zuganbindung. Es gibt 2 kostenlose Fahrräder z.B. Für den Einkauf. Die Sanitäreinrichtung ( Herren) bestand aus 2 Toiletten ( eine war verstopf), 3 Duschen, einer Pinkelrinne und 4 Waschbecken zusammen in einem grossen Raum. Dieser wird auch von den Besuchern der ca. 50 Wohnmobilstellplätze benutzt.

Benzin und synthetischer Diesel (GTL) mit üblichem Kreditkarten-Automat. Neue großzügige Slipbahn für Trailerboote. Wohnmobilstellplatz zunehmend beliebt. In der Saison kleiner Laden mit Segel-, Angel- und etwas Lebensmittelbedarf. Nächster Supermarkt bei den Hochhäusern gute 10 Minuten Fußweg. Bushaltestelle zum Museum 15 Min, Innenstadt/ Bahnhof 20 Min.

Dreckiges Braunes Wasser im Hafenbecken, Geruch und Lärm von der gegenüberliegenden Industrie. Wenig Leben im Hafen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten weitläufig. Viele Schiffe wirken verlassen.
