Navigation

An approach to the lighted harbor is possible day and night. Navigate in the white sector of the Lynaes beacon (Oc(2)WRG.6s). When entering the harbor, leave the unlit red buoy on the port side and head for the old harbor or the marina from here.

Berths

Guests will find a good spot in the small, old harbor basin on the inside of the west pier (approx. 3 m), or in the new marina on free spaces by arrangement with the harbor master. The eastern part of the marina is very rough in onshore winds.

Anchoring: There is a very good anchorage in Skaldevig Bay to the north-east of the harbor.

Surroundings

In addition to excellent sanitary facilities, the harbor also offers a repair service with crane, slip and yacht equipment, as well as several restaurants. Further amenities can be found in Hundested, 2.5 km away.

The trio of Lynæs-Hundested-Nykøbing at the entrance to the Isefjord is particularly important as a base on the way in or out of the fjord.

Hundested is often called at by pleasure craft wishing to sail on to Odden or Gilleleje, and Nykøbing is already on the list of many visitors to the Isefjord as a tranquil little town.

Lynæs is often the first port of call on the way into the Roskildefjord. It is also considered a good "springboard" for the onward journey to the Isefjord. In short, when it comes to starting points, Lynæs is the best of the three and also offers the convenience of a large, modern marina along with a small boatyard, a ship chandlery, restaurants and fish sales at the moorings.

In the immediate vicinity, the surf school operates the large restaurant "Madbar", and there is also a fish and steak restaurant.

The old harbor basin is quiet, as professional fishermen make themselves scarce there and the ferry connection to Kulhuse has been moved to Sølager. Only the hissing and humming of the old wind turbines spoil the peace and quiet. A few low houses away from the harbor are reminders of the old days of the former ferry and fishing village. Suburban development - along with a few villas - dominates the picture around the town center. A popular bathing beach is located in the immediate vicinity of the harbor.
