Former fishing and seafaring village, now a pleasure boat harbour on the west side of Orust

Navigation

The port is not fired and can be approached at night only with local knowledge. You have to watch out for the ferry to or from Käringön, which uses the north side of the ferry dock. The current generally sets northwards in the fairway at a speed of less than one knot.

Berths

You moor alongside or with finger pontoons at the floating jetty just behind the south jetty of the harbour (water depth 2 - 3 m). Good protection from wind from all directions except southwest, which can cause swell in the harbour.

Surroundings

Hälleviksstrand was a village of fishermen and sailors. One of Sweden's wooden boatyards is located here. The buildings are mostly old, but well preserved and worth seeing. The surroundings of the village are very beautiful both on land and from the water. There is a bus connection to Henån from here.
