Description

The place Zavalatica is a vacation village in the south of Korćula and used to be the wine export port of the island. Local small boats are moored in the inner harbor basin. Guests can moor on the inside of the outer pier located on the western shore and on the landside quay at 3m water depth. There are restaurants and bars on the shore, and the supermarket is directly opposite on the shore of the peninsula. The village of Čara above Zavalatica is one of the oldest settlements on the island. The 3km long walk is worth it not only for the breathtaking view over the sea, vineyards and pine forests of the island. Halfway is the winery Čarsko Polje with the famous white wine "Pošip", which used to be shipped from Zavalatica.
