Description

Tureta fortress was a Byzantine fortification from the 6.Jhr. You can visit the ruins on the  60m high mountain and enjoy the view over the islands.

At the foot of the castle hill was built in the 12.Jhr. a church. At the church is a small, unprotected dinghy jetty with 1.5m water depth.
The Kornati islands were already populated in the Neolithic period, Illyrians, Romans, Byzantium and Venice followed.
