Description

The holiday resort Privic-Luka is the small main village of the island. The small, inner harbour is, like the northern shore, occupied by local small boats. The ferry lands on the inner side of the long outer pier. Behind it yachts can moor in 2.8m water depth. There are also moorings provided by the surrounding restaurants in the bay, as well as short, shallow jetties for going ashore with the dinghy. However, anchoring is prohibited.

You should definitely visit the memorial museum to Faust Vrančić, the great Croatian scientist, inventor and visionary. It is right by the ferry pier and his grave can be found in the church of Sv.Marije.

There is a beautiful circular footpath around the island, past the olive, pomegranate and fig trees. Benches and canobas invite you to take a break on the 2-3 hour hike. You will be rewarded by beautiful views of the mainland and the Sibenik archipelago.
