Restrictions:

Due to construction work on the Elslfeth/Ohrt railroad bridge at Hunte-km 20.7, the southern passage opening for shipping will be closed from Thursday, 15.08.24 from 08:00 to Thursday,  22.08. 24 until 17:00.24 until 17:00.

For the northern passage opening, the restricted clearance height of
approx. 3.9 m at mean high tide and
approx. 7.8 m at mean low tide.

A lookout service is set up on VHF channel 73.

In the area of the northern passage, there are reduced depths of approx. 30 cm.

 For daily updated information, please note the situation reports from the Bremen traffic control center "Hunte Traffic" on VHF channel 63.

The swing bridge shown was irreparably damaged at the end of February 2024 as a result of being hit by a barge and was removed as a result.
Until a new bridge is built, there is a fixed temporary bridge on site, which has also been approached in the meantime (see above).
The respective clearance height is displayed on the bridge level.

Swing bridge:
Bridge openings are only possible during the respective bridge operating hours from 2 hours before sunrise to 2 hours after sunset.
