Description

Small local jetty within the shallow cove open to the north. On the seaward side of the Vinodolski Channel there is a jetty of the nudist campsite. You can anchor well in front of the bay and visit the archaeological excavations from the Stone Age  (6500 - 4000 BC).

The oldest ruins of Jadranovo are from the Stone Age and are located here in Lokvišće.

Amphorae found on the shore of Lokvišće indicate that it used to be a Liburian trading port for wine and olive oil. You can see underwater carved steps to allow the entry of boats. On the map of  Giroldisa (1426), Jadranovo was mentioned as Sveti Jakov.
