Latitude

Longitude

3° 35’ 12.9” E

Information

The indicated vertical clearance of opening bridges are those when the bridge is not opened. The current daily vertical clearance/ water level is also often shown on a tide gauge at the bridge piers, or on signs at the bridge passages. The soundings are reduced to CD (Chart Datum, usually LAT, Lowest Astronomical Tide), the vertical clearances are above HAT (Highest Astronomical Tide), unless indicated otherwise. Caution: Many Inland waterways and canals in the Netherlands are reduced to NAP. If vertical clearance and soundings are indicated to NAP (Nieuwe Amsterdam Peijl), the true clearance and soundings can be calculated if the NAP water level is known.
