Description

Der Estany Pudent - ist katalanisch und bedeutet stinkender See - der 340 ha große und 1m tiefe Binnenseeim Norden Formentera der auch zur Salzgewinnung benutzt.
Der Hafenort Sa Savina im Im Nordwesten bei den noch heute genutzten Salinen und im Südosten ist der bedeutendste Badeort der Insel - Es Pujols.
Im Vordosten des Sees liegen die heute noch bewirtschafteten Salinen, die wegen der vielen Tier- und Pflanzenarten unter Naturschutz stehen.

The Estany Pudent - is catalan and means stinking lake - the 340 ha large and 1 m deep inland lake in the north of Formentera which is also used for salt production.
The harbour town of Sa Savina is in the northwest, near the salt works that are still in use today, and in the southeast is the most important seaside holiday town on the island - Es Pujols.
In the northeast of the lake are the salt pans, which are still used today and are protected because of the many animal and plant species.
