On the 243m high Pt, de la Foradada stands the "Torre
Nova" one of the many old watchtowers from the time of

In 15.Jhr. Mallorca was attacked by Turkish pirates, the Mallorcans moved their towns in the further inland and built a network of defense towers, in sight of each other stood and with smoke signals the population warned. In 1561, the Mallorcans won the battle of Soller against the pirates, after which the raids became less frequent.
