Description

Strozanac- resort with a large marina on the eastern shore of the Uvala Stobrec.

There are no guest places here, in the private marina mooring is allowed only in emergencies ( tel. +38 5213 33 902). A club restaurant is at the harbour, 10t crane and slip are available. 

North of the harbour the Zrnovnica flows into the Uvala Stobrec,  the river  comes from the Mosor mountain range with 1339m highVeliki Kabal.The area around Strozanac and Podstrana was inhabited already in the Stone Age and the IIlyrians built a fort, which was taken over by the Romans. At the beginning of the 7th century Slavic tribes settled around Podstrana.  In 1444 Podstran came to Venice, from 1514 to 1686 it was Turkish and from 1686 - 1806 Podstrana belonged to the Republic of Poljica.In 1806 Napoleon I conquered the territories and a little later he was expelled by the Austrians.
