Description

In the north of the island is the Hotel Spongiola offering 2 piers for guests in 2m water depth, where larger sailing yachts (up to 75 feet) can moor. Berth reservations are made through Hotel "Spongiola." There is a 20% discount on mooring fees when visiting the hotel restaurant. You can also anchor well in front of the hotel or try to find a space at the small shipyard, 500m west of the church.

The island's population used to make a living from sponge diving, and even today, sponges are still sought-after items for cosmetics. The Krapanj Monastery Museum has an exhibition about sponge diving. There is also a "sponge factory" where the sponges are cleaned, processed and packaged.
