From the Greifswalder Bodden a buoyed and fired channel (7 m nominal depth) leads to the outlet channel of the industrial plant. The entrance to the marina is fired.

Berths

The Marina Lubmin offers approx. 180 berths on 3.5 m water depth.

Surroundings

Comprehensive yacht service. Shopping facilities in the village, about 40min walk from the beach. A former passenger ship houses a restaurant.

Caution: There is a high incidence of ticks in the forests of this area.

Admittedly, the scenery in the vicinity of this harbour is somewhat ambivalent: on the one hand, the LNG terminal in the industrial port and the ruins of the former power station, which are already visible from afar when approaching, but on the other hand, there is also a lot of nature, which offers rest and relaxation, especially for the family crew.

Northeast of the marina is an extensive conservation area (already since 1925), which also includes the flat peninsula of Struck, criss-crossed by watercourses and ponds. Partly grazed salt marshes, sea buckthorn and the beginnings of birch-oak woodland on the higher beach embankments characterise the landscape here. Many species of waterfowl rest or breed at the site, although they are disturbed by foxes, tanuki or wild boar. Otters have also been sighted at Lake Freesendorf. Towards the southwest towards Lubmin, a remarkable coastal forest stretches behind the beaches and steep banks at the Bodden. The place has been a seaside resort since the end of the 19th century, when after the transport connection by road and railway line, bathing tourism increasingly developed in the former farming and fishing village. In GDR times organized recreation took place here. Still every year numerous guests are looking for recreation. Accordingly, the range of recreational opportunities is diverse.

The marina offers good service and supply options, bread rolls or groceries are brought to the ship on request.
