Caution, the channel is silted.
Before the bridgehead, watch out for the shallow water with a depth of 1.2m.
Berths
Guests will find good berthing facilities on the east breakwater in the small, sheltered harbour. Water depths are 1.8m.
OREHOVED: Private unprotected industrial harbour west of Storstrøm Bridge (no plan). Recreational boats are only allowed to enter in case of emergency (5 - 7m water depth).

NV Land Guide
An old packing house, now beautifully renovated, is a reminder of the time when cosy Gåbense was an important place for ferry travel to Zealand. In 1937 this era came to an end with the construction of the bridge. As archaeological finds show, it had existed since the Viking Age.
But the old thatched ferry house still stands on the harbour causeway leading to the jetties at the bridgehead. The village's only road ends on the jetty. This dead-end street runs along the shore of the bay and is lined with only a few houses. Despite the lack of shopping facilities, the idyllic location of the village is a good reason to moor here. The view is only slightly obstructed by the Storstrømmen Bridge, which connects Falster and Sjælland a few hundred metres to the northwest.
The club facilities (kitchen, club room and terraces) can be used. The harbour offers rental bikes, Wi-Fi and good sanitary facilities.
