Access to the buoyed and lighted harbor is possible day and night. The 221° (2 F.R.) leading light keeps you clear of the numerous gillnets that extend far out to sea here (as everywhere along the coasts of Køge Bay).

Berths

Consult the harbor master for guest berths. The harbor is 1 - 2m deep  and tends to silt up. The fishing bridge should not be used by pleasure craft.

Surroundings

Sanitary facilities are available and there is a bunker station. Apart from a small kiosk, there are no facilities here.

NV Land Guide

Bøgeskov is a harbor surrounded by only a few houses on the edge of the forest of Magleby. The secluded area is ideal for walks. If you cross the beautiful forest, you will come across a small forest lake, Møllesø, two kilometers west of the harbour. When you return from your hike, it's a good idea to have a bite to eat in the restaurant (with a view of the sea) just a few meters from the harbour. There is also a snack bar in the immediate vicinity.

The limestone cliffs of Stevs Klint (see also Rødvig) begin to the south-east of the harbor. There is a small bathing beach in the immediate vicinity of the moorings. If you want to stock up on provisions, you have to go to the village of Holtug, three kilometers to the south, or better to Store Heddinge (six kilometers to the south). Gjorslev Castle with its massive tower, five kilometers west of Bøgeskov, was originally a fortress. The embrasures can still be seen on the upper floors. The castle park can be entered from the south through a signposted entrance gate.
