Navigation
The approach to "Holsteinborg Nor" should only be attempted by those who are familiar with the area, as the channel, with a target depth of 2.5 m, has a strong tendency to silting up. A leading light line of 11.6° runs through the channel, which is marked with pilings. One should pay attention to the sometimes very strong current.
Berths
Guests will find some moorings on the outside of the bulwark at about 2m water depth.
Surroundings
There are limited supply options at the campsite or in the village 1km away.
NV Land Guide
Two campsites, a large fairground, a huge car park and an extensive holiday home area surround this idyllic village. Only a few fishing boats are still moored in the harbour and the boats are now also rare at the buoy sites in nearby Holsteinborg-Noor. The boats of the leisure fishermen and the yachts of the sports boatmen determine the picture.
Originally there was only one bridge here, which was developed only with the years to the port for the yachts. In the old village, which has around 50 houses, people are increasingly adapting to tourists. The protected Noor is a popular anchorage and an ideal area for dinghy trips.
If you row to the opposite Østerfeld peninsula or a little further to Glenø, you will be completely alone on the beach or among the reeds. You can also take a dinghy to the small island of Ormø in the middle of the Noor. About three kilometres northwest of Bisserup, after a walk through the forest "Rude Skov", you come to Holsteinborg. This Renaissance castle, surrounded by ramparts and a park, is where the storyteller Hans Christian Andersen wrote "The Ugly Duckling". The park is open to the public.
Near the harbour there is a restaurant and sufficient supplies.
