Description

The two artificial islands of Hejren and Mågen together form a large and modern suburban marina in København on the northern shore of Køge Bay with around 850 berths.

The approach can only be recommended to those unfamiliar with the area during the day due to the many gillnets off the coast, but is also possible at night in the leading light line 332.8°. The entrance and the outer harbor have a target depth of 3 m, but tend to silt up,

you should expect considerably shallower depths.

Berths

The harbors are heavily occupied by local yachts, but guests can always find a spot in 2-3 m of water.

Surroundings

The marina offers a comprehensive range of services, including a crane for up to 30 tons. Only shopping facilities are somewhat lacking directly at the harbor.

The train to København is 2.5 km away.

However, the marina has by far one of the best showers and toilets, including underfloor heating.

NV Land Guide

The large harbor complex is hardly any different from Vallensbæk, Ishøj Strand and Brøndby Strand. It was created (like all the harbors in the large Køgebucht Strandpark project) by filling in. This has created a large expanse of water around the moorings and child-friendly sandy beaches.

The marinas in the Strandpark project are not particularly cozy. But as spacious and family-friendly harbors away from the suburbs of Copenhagen, the recreational area of the city is definitely a travel tip. But as I said: Hundige does not offer Danish coziness.
