A jetty on the northern western shore of Als Sund, which is gradually being renovated by the new owner.

Navigation

The approach is unproblematic during the day. It takes place from the fairway at the height of the middle ground buoy directly towards the bridgehead. At night it is also possible to approach the unlit jetty under favourable lighting conditions.
With fast passing motorboats, strong swell builds up in front of the bridge, so be careful with the rigs when tightly mooring sailboats side by side.

Berths

Gyachts are moored at the bridgehead at 2.5-3 m water depth. Towards the land the depth decreases rapidly. The bridge has been renewed 2022 and shore leave is possible.

Anchorage:
A good anchorage can be found approx. 200 m southeast of the bridgehead or on the east shore between the middle ground and Arnkilshuk at 3-4 m water depth. The dinghy harbour located in the immediate vicinity of the Ballebro ferry landing (Alsen Fjord) offers only a few guest berths.

Surroundings

The scenic but somewhat neglected bridge offers no utilities. There is a very well-maintained public toilet next door on the museum grounds. It is accessible from 13 April to 8 October.

NV Land Guide

For those seeking tranquillity, the Sottrupskov jetty in the Als Sound is the place to be. Here around three nautical miles north of Sønderborg - the forest reaches right up to the shore. On some of the old trees, it is said that you can still make out the markings used to divide the Danish army into units in 1864 when they fought the Prussian soldiers.

Around five kilometres northwest of Sottrupskov, a ferry crosses from Ballebro to Hardeshøj on Nordalsen.

Sehr schöner Liegeplatz in schöner Lage. Strom gibt es am Steg, aber nur eine Säule mit 2 Dosen. Liegegeld: 10€ oder 75 DKK passend in einem kleinen bereitliegenden Umschlag falten und einwerfen. Es gibt keine Wechselmöglichkeit. Die öffentliche Toilette am Museumshaus ist sehr sauber.

Sehr schön gelegener Anleger an geschichtsträchtigem Ort. Die bis 2023 in der NV-Karte sichtbare Unterbrechung im Steg ist erneuert. Der neue Betreiber will künftig zumindest für Strom sorgen. Das WC ist vom 13. April bis 8. Oktober zugänglich. Schnell passierende Motorboote können einen kräftigen Schwell vor dem Anleger provozieren, Vorsicht mit den Riggs, dass sich keine Boote ineinander verheddern Mit etwas Glück trifft man die lokale Dorfgemeinschaft, wie sie mittwochabends den 23 m langen Nachbau eines mächtigen Nydambåden über den Sund rudern.

Sehr schöner „Museeumshafen“, der Anleger ist heile. Es darf nur an dem von See aus linken Steg angelegt werden.

Zur Zeit ist der nördliche Steg nicht mit dem Land verbunden
