Description

Early an important trading port and today a pleasure boat harbour on the west coast of Samsø.

Navigation

The approach to the well-lit harbour is unproblematic.

Berths

Guests will find good berthing facilities in the southern harbour basin of Kolby Kås with a water depth of 2.5 - 4m. The inside of the western breakwater is reserved for large yachts over 14m in length.

Port fee Cash or chattel.

Surroundings

The harbour offers no supply possibilities and the baker is 1km away. In strong winds from the NW there is an unpleasant swell in the southern harbour basin. Bread rolls can be ordered with luck in the hotel at the harbor.

NV Land Guide

The former ferry and commercial port is with its huge, concreted harbor apron no feast for the eyes. After the withdrawal of the island supply in the new ferry port on the east side of the island, it is here, however, at least a little quieter. The ferry only uses its jetty in reserve. The most attractive destinations in the harbour during the summer season are the snack bar and the Færgekro.

Das Gute: Der Hafen lag zweckmäßig auf der Route von Sjelland in den kleinen Belt. Es gab reichlich Platz, sanitäre Anlagen waren ok. Der Sonnenuntergang war super. Versorgungsmöglichkeiten nicht vorhanden, eher uncharmantes Gesamtbild. Würden wir nur wieder anlaufen, wenn andere Häfen auf der Route gerade nicht passen

Kleiner Hafen mit wenig Infrastruktur. Bei starken Westwinden starker Schwell. Die Wellen laufen durch die Hafenfahrt in den Hafen und werden von der Landseite reflektiert. Das Festmachen längseits an der Hafenmole ist dann kritisch, da die Mole deutlich über Deckshöhe liegt und die Festmacher über die Molenkante schamfilen. Ruckfender und Schutz vor Schamfilen ist notwendig.

Wir mochten den Hafen sehr. Es ist eine ruhige Gegend. Duschen sind zwar alt, aber relativ sauber. Ganz toller Service zwecks Tanken (direkt ans Boot) und netter Hafenmeister. Anlegen längsseits für kleinere Boote beschwerlich, da Mauer seeehr hoch bei Niedrigwasser. Wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge genießbar und schöne Gassirouten. 1 km bis zum Campingkonsum.

Den Bäcker und den Kro gibt es nicht mehr ( August 2022 ). Im Hafen ist ein Hotel, in dem sehr gutes Frühstück und Mittagessen geboten wird. Am Abend ist nicht geöffnet.
