The Damp marina is still in partial operation until further notice, but is open for guest moorings. Please register in advance with the harbour master Philipp Tröger on 0171 / 687 19 86 or 04352 / 80 85 39.

Modern tourist center with a large marina, as we know it from several places on the German Baltic Sea coast.

Navigation

The approach is unproblematic by day and night. The high-rise buildings of Damp can be seen from afar as landmarks from the sea. The two pier heads are lighted at night and the entrance is from the south-east. The sand trap north of the harbor is marked at its northern end by a light post (Q).

Berths

Guest boats are moored at the jetties in the northern part of the outer harbour at a water depth of 2-2.5 m, or in the inner harbour by arrangement with the harbour master. The outer harbor with the guest berths is very choppy in stormy southeasterly winds.

All amenities are available.

The local hospital with rehabilitation clinic attracts numerous visitors, who are offered the usual range of entertainment. These include restaurants, a discovery pool with sauna, sports facilities, a bowling alley and a supermarket.

For nature lovers seeking peace and quiet, the bed and concrete castle of the Ostsee-Resort-Damp is not necessarily a feast for the eyes at first glance, but in contrast to other complexes further east, the wide range of entertainment on offer here is impressive. Although the entertainment program may not necessarily appeal to everyone, the wealth of wellness, sports and leisure facilities is remarkable. The Baltic seaside resort offers an extensive calendar of events and numerous leisure facilities, especially for children. A bathing paradise awaits visitors, while the Fun & Sport Center offers a wide range of exercise options. Damp offers bowling and bowling alleys, diving courses, water skiing lessons, a golf park, tennis courts, billiard tables, numerous restaurants, a fitness center, riding courses, childcare including babysitting and much more. On the other hand, those seeking peace and quiet should steer clear of Damp, especially in the high season. After all, the high-rise buildings are a landmark that can be seen from afar.

Until 1999, the "Albatros", which lay on dry land in the harbor, served as a memorial to the rescue by sea from the former eastern territories towards the end of the Second World War. The ship brought many refugees to Schleswig-Holstein and is now a natural history museum with a small collection and various hands-on activities on the formation of the coastal landscape under the motto "Geology you can touch". At the same time, the ship is a Baltic Sea veteran well worth seeing. A worthwhile excursion destination north of Damp is the bird sanctuary around Lake Schwansen towards Schönhagen.

The rescue boat "Nimanoa" is moored on the port side at the front of the marina.

Die Instandsetzung hat begonnen. Es wird auch eine Sperrung geben. Bitte vorher schauen, ob der Hafen wieder frei ist.

Der Hafen gibt noch immer ein trauriges Bild ab, ist aber als Gastlieger nutzbar. Hafenmeistergebäude mit WC und Dusche ist intakt. Auch die Spielgelegenheiten an der Nordseite sind heil und die Gastronomie ist in Betrieb. Am 30.8.2024, der komplette nördliche Teil des Hafens nach wie vor zerstört, nur relativ wenige Gastliegeplätze im Südteil sind vorhanden. Ein freundlicher Hafenmeister gestattet kurzzeitiges Anlegen an der Kaimauer unterhalb des Krans. Ein Besuch des dortigen Bistros ist jedenfalls empfehlenswert.

Damp ist künstlich entstanden und hat auch genau diesen Charme. Am Ende sind die Bars und Restaurants am Abend recht empfehlenswert. Als Segler erhält man außerdem auf die Saunalandschaft (tolle Auswahl an Saunen) 50% Ermäßigung; lohnt sich nach einem Schietwettertag.

Der östliche Gastliegersteg ist komplett beidseitig gesperrt (Ende Juli 2033).

Die Gästebrücke ist aktuell (Juni 2023) vollständig gesperrt. Es fehlen Planken, Klampen, Elektro-Anschlüsse. Am Stegkopf weist ein großes Schild darauf hin, das man jedoch beim einlaufen leicht übersehen kann.

Damp ist sehr touristisch, was für ruhige Abende eher weniger geeignet ist...wer mit Kindern einen großen Strand sucht, Unterhaltungsprogramm (im Sommer meistens Musik etc.) u.ä. wird hier fündig... Die Duschen und WCs sind leider weiter weg, was morgens und abends ein paar Minuten mehr benötigt.

Wer sich hier nicht auskennt, muss sich an eine Überarbeitungswürdige Beschilderung halten. Egal was man sucht, alles ist unklar. Der Bezahl Automat für Gastliger war kaum noch zu entziffern.

Okay, schön ist was anderes; aber die Marina ist sehr ordendlich, sanitäre Anlagen gut, ein guter Edeka direkt am Hafen, dazu ein bzw. zwei tolle Strände. Super Currywurst-Pommes im Hafenkiosk.
