The two jetties of Neuwerk can only be used by boats that can dry-fall. The water depth is 1.0-1.5m at MHW for the western jetty and 0.8-1.0m for the southern one .The bottom consists of firm sand. Access is from the north via the beprickte Elbe-Neuwerk tidal flat fairway or from the south via the designated Neuwerker Loch.
