Supply, ferry and marina of the most populous municipality of the East Frisian island chain. For yachts on the coastal passage from Holland to the Baltic Sea, this is a popular stopover.

NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

The Norderneyer Seegatt is the most important between Ems and Jade, but has similar problems as the other Seegaten;  the water depths are very variable, so that the buoyage must be constantly adjusted. Even with fresh onshore winds and especially when the tide is running out, there is often surf here which makes passage impossible (current against wind).
Coming from the sea, two fairways lead into the Seegat. From the east via the Dovetief and from the west via the very variable Schluchter Fahrwasser.

Berths

The marina of Norderney is one of the most popular ports of call on the East Frisian coast. The modern jetty with approx. 250 places lies  very protected in the rear harbour basin of the Norderney harbour.
The harbour office is open in summer from 8:00 to 20:00. (Lunch break 12:00 to !4:00 h)
