Information

Valid until 31.12.2031

Until further notice, there is a reporting requirement to the Vessel Traffic Service for passage under the Elsfleth/Ohrt railway bridge at Hunte km 20.7. Vessels traveling upstream must report on VHF channel 73 (call: “Elsfelth Bridge”) when passing the Hunte Barrage (at Hunte km 24.0). Vessels must remain on standby on this channel until they have passed the railway bridge. Vessels traveling downstream must report on VHF channel 73 (call sign: “Elsfleth Bridge”) when passing the Huntebrück bascule bridge (at Hunte km 17.8). Vessels must remain on standby on this channel until the railway bridge has been passed. The reporting requirement and standby duty on Traffic Channel 63 (“Hunte Traffic”) remain unaffected by this. Attention is also drawn to the clearance height of the Elsfleth/Ohrt railway bridge (Hunte km 20.7). This is: at mean water level approx. 3.90 m                           at MTnw approx. 7.80 m

Comments

The translation is unclear. It seems it should be : Traffic heading upstream on the Hunte and traffic heading downstream on the Hunte!!
