Attention:

In strong winds, you are unprotected here. With northerly winds, you can still expect this because there is no cover to the north, but even with strong winds from the west, there are still plenty of steep waves running into the harbor, even though you think you are covered by the other jetties.

We ignored the advice of a local in this regard because we couldn't imagine it. With winds of 20 to 35 knots from the west, we were proved wrong. Avoid at all costs! We were told that yachts lying next to each other had already collided with their rigs in the swell. Luckily, we didn't have any immediate neighbors and only had two torn mooring lines and a sleepless night to complain about.


Update: We experienced the above situation at jetty C in 2021. In the meantime, the port has apparently been rebuilt and something has been added to jetty C. It is therefore possible that the protection has improved and the warning is no longer relevant.
