Description

Unfortunately, this former pirate hideout offers very few berths for guests. The small pier south of the river mouth in front of the old town is occupied by local boats and a boat rental service. There is 3 meters of water depth at the head, which could be a suitable mooring spot.

On the inner side of the eastern breakwater at the river mouth, the water is shallow—about 1.5 meters—and tends to silt up due to shifting sandbanks caused by the Cetina River.

Along the river, local small boats are moored. Depths range between 2.2 and 3 meters and are subject to change. The water is funneled through a gorge above the bridge, causing a strong current. In summer, when the current is weaker, anchoring in front of the bridge (0.5-meter clearance) is possible.

Anchoring - the bay is fairly deep and not well protected. The high mountain range inland intensifies the Bora, making winds from the north and east especially strong.

The limited mooring options are unfortunate, as the town has many interesting sights. A harbor expansion is currently under construction.
